Fun ways to exercise indoors

There are plenty of fun exercise ideas that can be done indoors. Here are some….

Though it is great fun to exercise at a gym or pool it isn’t always possible to get away from home t exercise. This should not be a problem to being fit and healthy. For starters, make a music playlist of stuff that makes a get up and move. Music you listen to while exercising keeps you motivated, passes the time more quickly, and makes you feel happy.

Clear an area in your home where you can have enough rooms to dance, and move around. start by stretching. Never workout without stretching first. It gets the blood pumping, and makes you feel more awake. Stretch your legs by stretching slowly side to side , and front to back, Bend down slowly, letting each vertebrae stretch, keeping your legs straight. Come back slowly the same way. Pull each of your arms by the elbow across the chest around our back, and then over your head. Stretch back over your head backwards a little. Rotate your arms in slow circles head clockwise, then counter clockwise. then the shoulders the same way.

Start dancing. Keep your abs muscles tight, for more effect. move your arms and legs, gyrate your hips. spin in circles, just don’t stop moving. Dance for as long as you can until you are ready to drop. try dance moves you might be too afraid to try in public.

Dancing is great cardio, but for muscles, a good workout is the stairs. Go up and down the stairs as many times as you can. for added resistance, go two stairs at a time.

For arms, try cleaning, or painting – winter is a great time for redecorating. Or, any heavy activity that gets your arms above your head.

Get a chair; and do squats with it, flip it around, sit on it facing its back. Hold the back of it, keeping your feet flat, and stand up, like a squat. Do this over and over.
